Maham Zahid

I'm Maham Zahid, a Computer Science graduate from LUMS. I like making computers do clever things so people don’t have to—whether that’s building web apps, dashboards, or gadgets that actually work in healthcare. If it involves code, cloud, or a little chaos, I’m usually in.

I’ve worked at places like Byonyks and Gaper.io, building dashboards, Streamlit tools, and AI-powered platforms using React, GraphQL, FastAPI, and cloud services. My toolkit also includes Python, MERN stack, IoT integrations, and a fair bit of problem-solving magic. I enjoy tackling tricky problems and turning half-baked ideas into something you can actually click on.

Byonyks - Software Engineer (AI)

May 2025 - November 2025

  • React Native Dashboard:
    Built a mobile dashboard using React Native and GraphQL, with secure authentication via AWS Cognito, providing real-time patient monitoring and streamlined data access.
  • Conversational AI Agent:
    Developed a RAG-powered assistant that tailors responses based on user metadata, making interactions smarter and more context-aware while keeping things running smoothly on the backend.
  • Streamlit Analytics Tool:
    Created an interactive Streamlit application to visualize data from Amazon S3 and PostgreSQL, helping stakeholders explore trends and insights without breaking a sweat.

Gaper.io - Web Development Intern

  • AI Avatar Generation:
    Created a cloud-powered platform that generates custom avatars using Stable Diffusion, OpenPose, and ControlNet, deployed on Runpod Serverless GPUs with Google OAuth for authentication and Cloud Run for scaling, effectively blending cutting-edge ML image synthesis, seamless web integration, and efficient data orchestration.
  • Image-Based Search Engine:
    Engineered a full-stack image search solution using React JS with FastAPI at the backend that leverages Google Cloud Storage, Firestore, Vertex AI embeddings, and Pinecone for similarity search, with automated CI/CD deployments on Cloud Run, demonstrating proficiency in front-end design, ML-driven search algorithms, and scalable data engineering.

    Analyzed research papers on IoT, focusing on its applications in security, ML/AI, and healthcare, synthesizing current trends and implications to deepen the understanding of IoT's role in enhancing system security and data-driven healthcare solutions.
